Nolimit City Slots: Provider Profile

Nolimit City is an online slot developer best known for unusual themes and its own family of trademarked "xMechanics." In June 2022, Evolution AB (publ), the Swedish, Nasdaq Stockholm-listed live casino and online casino supplier, agreed to buy all shares in Nolimit City Holding Ltd. The deal was for an upfront EUR 200 million, plus earn-outs of up to EUR 140 million tied to Nolimit City's results for 2022 to 2024. Evolution completed the deal on 8 August 2022, after receiving all regulatory approvals.

In its announcement, Evolution described Nolimit City as having "created its own niche in the market through games with sometimes provocative themes and a humorous touch." Evolution said the acquisition added to its portfolio of slot brands, alongside NetEnt, Red Tiger and Big Time Gaming. Evolution's release quotes co-founder Jonas Tegman and mentions "Jonas, Emil and their team."

Nolimit City now operates as part of the Evolution group.

The RTP figures below come from Nolimit City's official game pages. The "max win" figures are the theoretical maximum stated by the studio, as a multiple of the bet.

• Mental: Listed RTP 96.08%, maximum win 66,666x. Evolution called it award-winning.
• San Quentin xWays: Listed RTP 96.03%, maximum win 150,000x.
• Tombstone R.I.P.: Listed RTP 96.08%, maximum win 300,000x.
• East Coast/West Coast: Highlighted by Evolution as an award-winning title.
• Deadwood, Punk Rocker, Monkey's Gold xPays and Tombstone: Other titles Nolimit City named in distribution announcements.

Note: Several Nolimit City games have dark or adult themes, such as prisons, the Wild West and horror. RTP is a long-run theoretical average, and high maximum wins are, by design, very rare.

Nolimit City brands its features as "xMechanics." These are some of the main ones, as the studio explains them:

• xWays: An xWays symbol reveals a stack of matching symbols, adding more ways to win. Infectious xWays goes further: matching symbols elsewhere on the reels expand too.
• xNudge: A Wild nudges up or down to fill its reel, and its multiplier goes up by +1 with each nudge.
• xSplit: Splits the symbols to its left into two. Reel xSplit splits a whole reel.
• xBomb: An exploding Wild clears nearby symbols (except Bonus symbols) and adds +1 to the multiplier for the next collapse.
• xLoot and xGlitch: Character-based collection features used in titles like Tanked 3.
• xZone: Adds +1 multiplier to symbols touching it, including diagonally.

Many Nolimit City games combine several xMechanics at once. That's a big part of why players find them complex.

Nolimit City's games are offered through operator sites and apps on both desktop and mobile, and they run in modern mobile browsers on licensed platforms. Device specifics vary by title.
